What an exciting panel I participated in at London’s recent Ad Tech conference. It seems that many digital marketers are evolving their strategies to focus not only on high quality content but also the data that sits behind where and how to serve it.
The thing about AD Tech is that there is always something new to learn. Content is king at this conference and I was pleasantly surprised about the quality of participants they had brought together to discuss the latest digital trends. It was a real treat to be part of this event and to share and learn collaboratively on the day.
With a varied panel of experts from a broad range of industries this conversation was stimulating as we discussed how companies such as Dave are leading the way with content stimulation strategies that effectively promote their programs prior to release. The power of social sharing and technologies that allow you to track not only by cookie but also device means you are able to target your content more specifically, in a timely manner.
The key take away for me was:
Content is King – but only if it’s served to the right audience, at the right time, and in the right place.
Good content is simply not enough to drive engagement as we now consume on average more than 70 newspaper’s worth of information a day! So spend a bit of time making sure that what you create is not falling on deaf ears! Use the data and analytics you have in your platforms to ensure your content is served at the right time to be effective!
